Travel is more than ticking places off a list; it’s an unfolding journey of reflection, connection, and discovery.

Hi, I’m Hannah Rowena, a lover of travel, a weaver of stories. I’m a writer and journalist based in Vancouver, B.C.

Here, I share more than just destinations; I share moments. This is a space for personal musings, quiet observations, and the encounters that shape the stories behind each place. From conversations with locals to the fleeting connections with fellow travellers, every experience deepens the way I see the world and I invite you to do the same.

As a solo female traveller, my perspective is shaped by the independence and curiosity that come from exploring the world on my own. I’m often drawn to experiences that centre women, who I see as the purveyors of culture and tradition. Whether it’s learning Quechua weaving in Peru or visiting argan oil collectives in Morocco, these encounters that offer me intimate insights into the lives, skills, and stories of women whose work and wisdom shape the communities around them, are especially appealing.

Through my writing, I hope to take you beyond the surface of casual tourism, into the small details, questions, and truths that travel reveals. Whether it’s a hidden alleyway, a heartfelt conversation, each story offers a window into a world that rewards curiosity and reflection.

I invite you to journey with me.
